Personal Taxes
Personal taxes require personal attention. We take the time to consult and plan with our client for his or her specific situation. We determine which tax return is best suited for the client, be it self-employed, commissioned salesperson, professionals, real-estate agent or sole proprietors. The correct tax return is then prepared and submitted to Revenue Canada, after a personal consultation with the client.
Corporate Taxes
In today’s business world where tax laws are constantly changing, Active Accountants provides a partnership with their clients. We meet with our clients on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis to provide tax planning that helps maximize their deductions. Our goal is to provide our clients with the greatest tax savings at their fiscal year end while adhering to Canadian corporate tax law.
U.S. TAX PREPARATION
United States citizens residing in Canada must file a Form 1040 every year, reporting their income from all sources and countries. They are also required to file a Canadian Tax Return. There are accounting mechanisms which the U.S. citizen, residing in Canada, may utilize to prevent being taxed in the U.S. and Canada on the same income. We fulfill all corporate needs as well, preparing and filing Federal and State tax returns as required.

Bookkeeping and Accounting

Our experience allows us to tailor payroll services to your needs, be it weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly pay periods and reporting. Active Accountants goes the extra yard by remitting monthly payments directly to CRA, ensuring our clients comply with government deadlines. Our offices furthermore ensure that WSIB registration and reporting is completed as required, and all T4s are produced and filed in accordance with Canadian law.
